ITS ALL ABOUT MUM! MOM WINS 30th MUSE AWARD!

The really cool news this week, is all about MUM!

Congratulations to Mommy!  New York Women in Film and Television has just announced that they are honoring our very own MUM with this year’s MUSE AWARD!  (Along with co-honoree Vanessa Williams) Congratulations Mom, we’re so proud of you!

Variety reported  yesterday:

New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT) will present their 30th annual Muse awards to honorees including Pat Kaufman, director of N.Y.’s high-profile production tax credit program; A&E Television Networks prexy and CEO Abbe Raven; thesp Vanessa Williams, and PR agency PMK*BNC topper Cindi Berger.

The org will also present the Loreen Arbus award (given to “activists for change that has benefitted women”) to “Panama Hattie” thesp Marsha Hunt, who was blacklisted in the 1950’s during the Red Scare. Hunt spoke out against the blacklist and has been active on behalf of numerous other causes.

The awards will be presented at the NYWIFT gala luncheon on Dec. 8 at the New York Hilton.
